A humble tribute to Gurus and Rasiks on World Music Day, a set on Flickr.
Blowing breeze, swaying trees, rustling leaves, gurgling streams, roaring oceans, chirping sparrows, quacking parrots, barking dogs, roaring lions…. From time immemorial music has been created by every living creature in the world.
Human beings started mimicking the nature through voice and all of its associated notes. As the journey progressed the super human power of thinking and innovation enabled them to create instruments that would mimic one sound of nature or other. Dancing and prancing to the music thus created.
Then perhaps came the experimentations with multitude of instruments.
This journey must have been a few millennium old. Thankfully, I am born in the midst of such an exciting world with music, melodious to cacophony, reaching me and plodding me all the time.
I am compiling from my captures, a photograph or two, of every musician that I came across in my life as a humble tribute to the creators of Music, that keeps the world in High Spirits.
Lot more to come as and when the photos become accessible on my FLICKr stream.
