One of the most creative and hardworking pair in Bharatanatyam that I have come across in recent times is Shijith and Parvathy. Both of them have had their grinding at Kalakshetra, Chennai. Their work portryas spiritual power of Bharatanatyam. Their passion and dedication, along with adherence to the traditions, make them very special.

At Ananya their pieces ‘krishna nee begame’ was very interestingly choreographed and the ‘ardhanareeswara’ was beautiful, portraying essence and sensual elegance of the dancing couple. The group choreographies are equally good, need more coordination. The photos here amply demostrate what they can produce.
