Dhrupad loses one of the most precious jewels….. Ustad Fahimuddin Dagar Saab

I have had the privilege of listening, watching and also capturing Dagar saab many times in the last few years. It has always been a treat to capture him in his various moods.

I remember his renditions in Kohima in middle of the night during SPIC MACAY convention. What nuances, what a natkatpan in his gayaki.

I recall, he was completely wrapped most of the times there, due to cold weather. Whatever be the state, he always had a humorous way of saying things, similar to his renditions that were natkat…

I will miss him and all the rasiks will miss him too.
