I am glad a Bhakt asked me why I hate Modi.

Didn’t have to think for long. I hate Modi for:
— totally destroying secular character of Govt of India and of the BJP-ruled states,
— dividing India into pieces on religious lines,
— blatant disrespect for parliament and Constitution,
— encouraging/ignoring persecution of minorities, hate speeches, lynchings, vandalisation of minority places of worship,
— making law enforcement agencies and constitutional authorities subservient for narrow selfish political gains,
— toppling democratically elected governments using money and intimidation,
— fudging/suppression of data,
— nourishing, reinforcing, enriching VIP culture,
— suppressing freedom of expression,
— telling half-truths and blatant lies,
— cheap and vulgar oratory and name-calling, attacking modesty of women,
— not being able to sum up enough courage to face independent press,
— encouraging/ignoring hooliganism, arson, vandalisation in the name of Hindutva and false pretext of “hurt sentiments”,
— cheap publicity stunts like meaningless photo-shoots in fancy attires and all sorts of creatures, printing his photograph on billions of vaccination certificates and food grain bags, puke-worthy entertainment shows during his foreign visits, flagging off same train again and again 28 times, monkey bath, pareeksha pe charcha etc.,
— wasting taxpayers money on 24×7 election rallies, road shows on the pretext of inaugurations,
— abusing, humiliating and character assassinating past prime ministers (including those deceased and can’t defend themselves), democratically elected governments, freedom-fighters etc.,
— bad mouthing India on foreign soil,
— destroying India’s diversity and plurality,
— destroying independent and fearless journalism;
— deepening and widening economic inequality;
— poking old wounds to instigate religious hatred,
— using armed forces, displaying fake-nationalism and pseudo-patriotism for political gains.
— trying to hide incompetence behind emotional manipulation like changing names of the roads, cities, memorials, museums and even country.
I know many of these could be subjective judgments but this is my perspective.
